The course teaches the basic postulates of the child abduction proceedings conducted upon the Hague Abduction Convention and Brussels IIbis Regulation. The focus is on the aims of the Hague return system related in most to the duration and manner of conduction of proceedings.
The course expands the traditional postulates with taking into account the means of modern technology. The students are learn about the efforts of the Hague Conference for Private International Law (iChild) and European Union to digitalize this matters. The circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic are also taken into account as one of the triggers for the hasted digitalization.
