The Heal4ALL program: Health and Existential Wellbeing in Older Adults is the result of the Higher Education Alliance for Innovative Healthcare and Education (Heal4ALL) project. This initiative brings together four leading European universities: the University of Split (UNIST), Nord University (NU), the University of Eastern Finland (UEF), and KU Leuven (KUL). The primary objective of the program is to advance education in healthcare and social care through innovative approaches and international collaboration. Our goal is to develop a modern online course designed for future professional caregivers. Through this project, we aim to revolutionize healthcare education by promoting inclusive, empathetic, and innovative teaching methods while strengthening the connection between European higher education and care systems in the digital age. The curriculum focuses on enhancing the well-being of older adults, with a special emphasis on existential health and holistic care. By incorporating open pedagogy, design thinking, and service learning, the course will not only improve students' soft skills but also strengthen their digital literacy and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. Module 1: The Existential Compass: Discovering existential concepts for a purposeful journey Module 2: Meaningful Ageing: Supporting existential wellbeing in later life Module 3: The Heart of Caregiving: Meaningful Encounters and Personal Resilience Module 4: Heal4All - Project Management Workspace Additionally, the program will facilitate student mobility, promote knowledge exchange, and foster the development of transversal skills in care sciences. Through this learning experience, we strive to elevate the quality of education in the care sector, support vulnerable groups, and establish long-term collaborations among European universities. The curriculum development is based on extensive research, including consultations with the European Commission, stakeholder surveys, and analyses of similar Erasmus+ projects. This ensures that our program aligns with real societal needs and builds upon existing knowledge in the field.
